you know what? it just hit me that the kid is reading that book in the exact place of the phone in the MonsterPainting. which confirms my theory that there's someone on the other end of the line: open phone, open book. speaker, reader. actually now i think about it, i think those two scenes (that drawing and the MonsterPainting) happen at the same time in two different dimensions. ...so there ARE three people!
..ok. yeah. whatever. (it's like with numbers. you can always make them say what you want to read..)
